How to choose a set. Scales

Fine Turf and Coarse Turf landscaping products is used as the base covering for the terrain. It gives the terrain a green, golf course look. Blended Turf also models grasses, weeds and other low-growing plants. Use Green Blend as a base for well-manicured lawns. Use Earth Blend as a base for pastures and neglected areas. Particle size is approximately 1/32". Attach with Scenic Cement.

Grass and Brush

Woodland Scenics Field Grass for modeling open fields. Static Grass Flock to adds texture to your layout. Underbrush great for making underbrush and small trees. Bushes for making bushes, shrubs, hedges and trees. Attach with Scenic Cement.

Foliage & Lichen

Clump-Foliage is best for making large bushes. Lichen is used for models bushes, ground covers, or tree foliage. Foliage is excellent for modeling trees, vines, weeds, bushes, tree masses, or any low growth.

Add some scenic Accents to your layout for added realism. Create anything from light snow falls to heavy snow drifts with Soft Flake Snow.

Seven realistic colors and three sizes of Ballast allow as much accuracy as possible in detailing your layout. We know the importance of the right color for indicating types of track and usage. Also try Ballast for wagon loads, roadworks, or gravel bins. Gray Blend Ballast provides the realism of several shades of gray, blended in proper proportions.
Buy the 10 oz. Bag or the 32 oz. Shaker for greater economy.

Ready Made Trees

Ready made trees from 3/4 inch up to 9 inches tall. There's Deciduous Trees, Fall Trees, Pine Trees and Value Pack Trees with up to 38 trees in a bag. There's also Tree Armatures to build your own trees with Fine-Leaf Foliage or Foliage Clusters that can also be used for creating hillside tree masses or making large shrubs, bushes and fence row plantings.

Super detailed castings of high-density, Lightweight Hydrocal make up these HO Scale Tunnel Portals and N Scale Tunnel Portals. Designed for ease of use, ready-to-stain single and double width Portals are available. They come in the same styles as Retaining Walls and can be used alone, or in combination with the HO Retaining Walls or N Retaining Walls.

The Tunnel Liner Mold is for casting realistic rock walls and ceilings for scale tunnels on your pike. It is designed to form half of either a single or double liner section with each pour of Lightweight Hydrocal. HO scale.

Terrain & Accessories

Lightweight Hydrocal has been specially formulated for terrain model builders. Mold-A-Scene is a plaster material that can be shaped like modeling clay, but sets like plaster, without a mold. Plaster Cloth is a simple, convenient and lightweight way to create a durable terrain shell or base. Use Undercoat Pigments to provide a base coat of color over Plaster Cloth. Use full-strength or diluted. Use Earth Colors to color rocks, terrain and plaster castings. Water-soluble pigments can be diluted and blended in limitless combinations. Use Rock Molds for durable, flexible and well-detailed boulders, rock outcroppings and more. Use Latex Rubber to make your own rock molds and Flex Paste for a flexible, non-cracking coating over foam.

High-density Hydrocal Culvert castings are extremely realistic. Where there are embankments, there is water runoff to control. No serious railroad scene would be complete without a detailed culvert or two to add realism. Choose between the HO Scale Culvert and the N Scale Culvert.

The project becomes easier when the right landscape tools are used. Be sure and read the instructions for proper application.
